Caveman Chili

A nice big pot of food with meat that lasts the whole week ... what else could a good Paleo soul want, right? And, you'll love the meat combination of chicken, sausage, and beef. Adding in the greens at the end isn't as funky as it sounds, adds a nice crunchy-fresh flavor, and some serious nutrients. I know what you're thinking: beans and nightshade vegetables. The beans we swap out for squash and tomatoes, well, once in a while, they are not going to cause a lot of damage.

1# Grass-Fed Beef

1# Italian Sausage

1# Chicken Thighs

16 oz whole peeled tomatoes

1-8oz can beef broth

1# cubed butternut squash

3 cloves garlic

1 large onion

1 tspn black pepper

1 tspn red pepper (cayenne)

4 tspn chili powder

Bag of mixed greens. I like Organic Girl Greens.

- Grind meat up in food processor, cook over medium in large pot, remove from pot, set aside.

- Saute garlic and onions about 10m

- Put meat back in

- Add tomatoes and spices

- Add squash

- Add broth

- Simmer on low at least an hour (preferably 3) stirring every 15m

- Add greens before serving
