Salad Dressing

Let's face it, almost all of the salad dressings on the market are full of junk: soybean oil, preservatives, emulsifiers, sweeteners, and are WAY overpriced! Even the ones labeled as 'healthy' 'low-fat' and 'organic' usually contain cheap vegetable oils, loaded with Omega-6 fatty acids which are murder on your arteries.

This simple salad dressing takes just a couple of minutes to prepare with ingredients that are usually around the house, is fresh, zingy, and costs just pennies to make.


In A Blender:

- 1 clove garlic

- 1/3 cup olive oil (try picking up some olive oil from California. Great fresh taste!)

- 1 lemon juiced (meyer lemons rule!)

- dash of balsamic vinegar

- 1 egg (don't listen to the salmonella police...raw eggs are just fine and a great source of raw       protein/amino acids)

- dash salt & pepper

- dash tabasco

 

Blend 1m, enough for 4 small salads


Options:

- Try a different oil such as sesame, avocado, or hemp

- anchovy paste

- 1/2 avocado

- different spices
